Kotor, Montenegro has started to get more attention within the last few years as cruises ships have made this one of the stops. But with their many easily accessible limestone caves, it is easy to hire a boat that can take you to some of the lesser explored caves. America Salt Lake City, Utah is filled with restaurants and outdoor attractions that will keep a visitor busy. With the many hiking trails and ski resorts nearby, visitors will have many stories to share when they get home. San Antonio, Texas has a river running through its city! Besides that already cool point, the city is filled with free historic and natural attractions to visit. Central America With its hikeable volcanoes and beautiful lakes, San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala, is a budget destination for many backpackers. If the physical activity is not for you, try a weaving or cooking class with the locals. Asia Tbilisi, Georgia is official in the continent of Asia but intersects with Europe so the culture here is a unique mix of both. Try to experience a Georgian supra, aka endless feast, alongside endless wine if you think your stomach can handle it. You wouldn’t think that the home to the famous Mount Everest would be a cheap destination to travel but it is! Many people travel to Nepal to climb but there is more than there. You can enjoy one of the many stupas and temples in Kathmandu. Africa Even with the amount of shopping you will do in Chefchaouen, Morocco it is still a great budget destination. Stay at a riad in this mountain city for a homestay experience at night while you explore the mysterious blue buildings of the rest of the city during the day.
